... cough variant asthma. I have been on every medicine that you can think of and some that are really out of the box. My pulmonary Dr has said that there is nothing he can do for me. He has me on depo-lupron to put me in chemical menopause to see if that will take care of when I have my period it will not trigger my asthma. i have many triggers. So far it has not worked. I am having some of the bad side effects of the drug and will not take the next series of shots. I can't count how many times I have been in the hospital or ER for my asthma. My primary doctor said that if I find a hospital to go to for a second opinion she will get me there. I am on disability. I am a nurse and even going out in public I wear a mask. I have been on constant steroids for about 3yrs but I really can't remember a time I was really off of steroids. I just wanted to see what you thought. I am about at the end of my rope treatment wise. thanks
im sorry to hear that ur having so much trouble with it.. as for ur question... there is a new procedure that can help people with severe asthma but u'd have to get a doc's ok on that and it isnt available in a lot of hospitals and idk if ur insurance would cover it... i hope that you start feeling better and i hope that this answers ur question...
