I was an Antibiotic called Amoxocillen 800 miligrams. My doctor said that was the only bottle that he would prescribe me, he did not tell me why. So I was wondering if your body can get used to an Antibiotic, like a tollerence kind of thing. I used to have really bad acne and thats why he prescribe it to me. The Antibiotic really helped me with it and you could really tell if i had not taken it the night before. so the question is: Can i keep taking them???
Can you body get used to Antibiotic?
It's not your body that used to it.
Its drug resistance from bacteria.
Bacteria are very clever. They can produce enzyme to destroy drugs ,tell themselves not to uptake that drugs , pump drugs out of their cells and so on. And this happen when you take antibiotics for a long time.
And this is why old drugs is not working anymore. Bacteria mutate a lot. They can improve themselves. This is why doctor shouldn't prescript antibiotics thoughtlessly or we shouldn't eat it without prescription. If we eat antibiotic the wrong way or the wrong one it will trigger the bacteria to get stronger and stronger.
Some says we are reaching the end of antibiotics age.
Bacteria is getting stronger and new drugs are rarely discovered.
