Hello:
Great to hear your getting off tramadol. There is a popular recipe for opiate withdrawls that we refer people to here. It's called " The Thomas Recipe" and it works quite well from all the reports we get back on it. Follow it as closely as you can.
You have 5-7 days were you're going to feel really shitty. After that you start to much better daily. So hang in there and beat this monster... We are always here if you need to talk...

Thanks Dave, I did feel shitty for about 10-14 days. I would have never thought coming off this stuff would be so painful. What triggered my decision to quit was the seizure i suffered after taking about 35 Tramadols(my hedonistic gene kicking in... WTF was i thinking, huh?) in one day.
I was up to about 20-25 a day and apparently my body did not react well to an increased dose. I ended up in a hospital with a broken bones after hitting the floor and convulsing for a few minutes(with family watching). I think what made my decision to quit easier for me was the fact that i did not have a choice , but to quit cold turkey-laying in hospital bed and all that... They did put me on the percoset for a few days to control my post-op pain, but the sweats, the tiredness, overall body pain, hot flashes, monster headaches were all there once that stopped:) . It had taken me about three weeks to get back to a normal sleep pattern.

I think i got it under control now, i don't have anymore urges to get it. Now, all i have to do is to change my phone # since all these pharmacies keep calling me to see if i need any T. I do have a question though, i'm still experiencing huge mood swings, something that never happened to me before. I suspect that it might just be my brain trying to self adjust and bring back the natural order :). Are there any natural remedies to speed up the process? Thanks again for your response!
Siezures are quite common with Tramadol especially if you take more than prescribed. At least you're off them and feeling better.Good luck and hang in there...
