I take about 4-5 20mg a day but am only prescribed 2 20mg a day. can this harm me?
I am legally prescribed to take 2 20mg adderall tablets 3x a day.Thats 120 mg a day Im prescribed. While I dont think it would hurt you I encourage you to talk to your Dr and let him/her know that the dosage youre taking now isnt working and he will then decide whether or not to up the dosage.I am just curious as to why you are taking more than prescribed. Is it really not working or is it b/c youre no longer feeling the "high" off it and feel compelled to keep taking more? Sometimes myself take more than prescribed b/c you just keep looking for the initial affects that make you feel good and as someone who knows , it doesnt work like that. Please talk to your Dr as soon as possible about the dosage and I wish you the best of luck.
Mom of 7 is not only right , she is going through hell herself. As to your question... you should have called your doctor and asked him/her if it was ok to up the dosage until your next visit. It would at least show that your intentions are to be honest and med compliant. Maybe it's me but, sometimes I just don't understand the reasoning behind the "have to take more to feel better" attitude. I'm not judging you, just trying to understand the reasoning.
