I have been on perc 10's for a bout 3 years. I was taking between 4 and 5 a day. I decided to try and cut back. I have broken them down to 7.5 and taking 4 times a day for a total of 3. I though i would maintain for a couple of days to get used to this and then drop to 2.5 per day. What do you think
Sounds like a fast taper to me, but I did it cold turkey (which I do not recommend!!)... there are two member's here, Laurie Shay or pattishan61, and they are both great at taper plans, so hang in there, one of them will answer as soon as they are able.

I wouldn't reduce that fast. Take at least 5 days to a week between reductions. I recommend starting at three pills a day, one every 8 hours for a week. Then drop to 2 1/2 pills a day, one in the morning, half in the afternoon and one at bed time for a week. Then drop to 2 a day, half in the morning, one in the afternoon, and half in the evening for a week. Then drop to 1 1/2, half in the morning, half in the afternoon, and half in the evening for a week. Then drop to one a day, half in the morning, half in the evening for a week. The half a pill a day for a week. Then stop.
If your interested, write this taper schedule down on a calender. Do you have enough pills left? You'll need at least 74 pills to do this taper. You could reduce the number of necessary pills by reducing every 5 days instead of every week.
Let me know what ya think. I can write a taper plan that is faster, but you might have to experience some withdrawals.
