Can reconstituted vancomycin be ingested?

No, never do this. Vancomycin is only for intravenous route of administration. If you take it orally this drug will be absolutely ineffective for you and even unsafe.

How do you know this? They do make an oral suspension.

Stumbled upon your question, although a year late:
"The parenteral form of Sterile Vancomycin Hydrochloride may be administered orally for treatment of antibiotic-associated pseudomembranous colitis produced by C. difficile and for staphylococcal enterocolitis. Parenteral administration of vancomycin hydrochloride alone is of unproven benefit for these indications.
