Is there any harmful effect for a hyperkalemic patient taking digoxin?
If the person is on digoxin and hyperkalemic don't give him/her a banana.
If the person is on digoxin and not hyperkalemic then there is no harm in having a banana occasionally.
(Acetaminophen was just used as an example to check the interaction, in link above).
