Cephalexin is an cephalosporin antibiotic, it is better recommended to talk to your pharmacist/doc. before you take this medication, hope this helps.

Yes it will, your best bet would be 500mg, 3x daily for 5-7 days... other options would be amoxicillin, clindamycin, erythromycin, metronidazole, or
penicillin... Abcessed teeth are extremely dangerous due to the chance of toxins being released into the bloodstream, hopefully, you have consulted a qualified dentist regarding this matter. Hope this helps... Colin Zimmermann
