Following a unilateral oophorectomy last year, I have now discovered that I am 5 weeks pregnant. However, risks of miscarriage and ectopic have been banded about such a lot since I have mentioned it to my GP that I'm confused as to whether or not I am 'at risk' or can have a healthy normal pregnancy? He seems reluctant to give me a straight answer and there is nothing on the internet to suggest he is right or wrong.
Can I really have a successful pregancy following a unilateral oophorectomy?

Following an early scan they have ruled out ectopic but have now informed me that I have a large cyst on my remaining good ovary. The consultant is reluctant to do anything at the moment and, as he put it, he's going to 'leave me to it for the time being'! Has anyone else had this situation with a healthy baby outcome?
