ive been on opana 10 mg and opana 10 mg ER for about a year now and i just ran out of my last prescripton (because im transferring to a different doc) and out of all the pain killers i have taken, those seem to work the best. ive got 2 herniated disks in my lower back and i get the lovely pains down my legs. do u think i can get them to prescribe me some until i can get in to see this new doc? ty :)
No, emergency room pharmacies carry only Hydrocodone, Oxycodone, and Dilaudid as pills. You could go and get a Morphine IV, but it'd only last 3 hours, so there doesn't seem much point. ER's don't hand out pain meds. You have to see a doctor first. They aren't dangerous to go off cold turkey (just VERY bad withdrawal effects, none harmful though).
ER's will only give out Benzodiazepines for patients with Panic Disorder who can prove they have a legit script, but ran out due to pharmacy error or something similar. And even then, they'll only give perhaps 2-3 pills. Not much.
