I was told that extended release meds do not work as well in patients who have had gastric bypass. Is this true.
I had gastric bypass as well and I switched to regular release because the XR was so expensive and I think the regular release works better for me. I was also told ER anything doesn't work as well for us because the meds are absorbed in the portion of the stomach we don't have anymore. Any thoughts on this?
