I started taking Methyldopa when I had my last child 4 years ago. I was even told to take while pregnant with my youngest. I only had high blood pressure because I was pregnant. Can I stop taking it now?
Has your blood pressure remained high after the birth of your last child?
If so you may have to continue taking blood pressure medication for life.
High blood pressure from pregnancy usually goes away after about 6 weeks.
