Can extended release Oxycontin and immediate release Roxicodone be taken at the same time?

If these meds were prescribed that way, then I suppose so.
Sounds like a recipe for overdose to me.

The only factor is the dosage. they are the same drug compound so just be sure to only take the total dose that u would take of immediate release. just pretend they are both ir

It isn't a recipe for overdose as I am also prescribed the combination. I take OxyContin ER 80 mg as a base pain reliever every 12 hours, and Roxicodone (which is IR) 30 mg for break through pain, every 4-6 hours. I have never had an overdose or even come close to it but I take my medication as prescribed and have legitimate reasons for the medications.
