Yes, there are no problems giving the two together.
Are you sure though that the cough is not a symptom of her asthma?
The cough may respond better to a reliever type inhaler (if your child has one) rather than a cough medicine.
Have you checked her peak flow recently - that should give you an idea if the cough is due to asthma or a respiratory virus / infection.
If her peak flow is poor and you do not have a reliever inhaler see your doctor.
