Hi mel ander,
Clindamycin is effective in treating bacterial infections. If you are taking other meds, like Methotrexate, check this out first as there can be an adverse reaction between the two drug. You could run this past the pharmacist before taking the Clindamycin. There are other antibiotics that are effective without any drug intereaction but which are equally effective in treating bladder infections. The doctor/path lab should have run tests to see which antibiotics are the right one for your particular infection. Best wishes, hope you make a good recovery from the bladder infection. bacterial
