I'm not sure if it will have that big of an effect but it won't hurt you to try it if you are healthy. If you take it before a meal it will help to fill you up so you eat less. It will help you by evacuating your bowels, helping to get rid of retained stool can make your digestive system work better and frankly, if you have less retained stool you will weigh less. Don't expect it to make a huge difference though.
