I am currently prescribed phenergan(for relief of nausea & vomiting), tramadol(for migraines), and klonopin(for severe panic/anxiety attacks & issues). I do not ever drink so I don't know if it's safe to have 1 or 2 cans of beer. Any feedback would be great! Thanks!
angelwest, If I were you, and apparently I am not, I wouldn't drink alcohol. In my experience, it aggravated my panick attacks... I would wake in the middle of the night in sheer panic. Sure hope your meds are working for you! Hope your anxiety just goes away, as mine is doing... who knew?
Best fishes I mean wishes.
Alright everyone settle down we all know bronx77 has got to be joking anyone in their right mind knows you dont mix alcohol with medication. No matter what the situation and you can tell yourself all the lies you want. If alcohol already is a mind altering drug itself(which it is) what makes him think its okay to mix two mind altering drugs. You could have caused death to AngelWeston1 saying its okay to mix the two then how would you have felt. Me personally i would have felt very bad not to mention there could have been great consequences to your mindless post. You are in very deep water bronx77 close to drowning i suggest you tread carefully when you say the things you say on this site. We are here to protect each other and help one another and what you said just was not right please be careful next time. We take full offence to someone that could harm our fellow drugs.com friends.
Listen, i take suboxone, klonopin, smoke medicinal marijuana, and drink 2 40oz beers a day and i smoke cigarettes, nothing bad ever happened to me. so take it easy you blowhards who don't really know what will happen because they never tried, hehehehe :p chances are, you will just get really hammered off 2 frigging beers, maybe not, ... its 2 beers, c'mon, don't be such a wussy ;D
If you are going to have a beer or two just don't take medication at least 4-6 hrs. beforehand. And at least 4-6 hrs. Afterwards. Better safe than sorry. I too take phenergan and a strong muscle relaxant for migraines, anxiety attacks and fibromyalgia. I also very rarely drink alcohol. Alcohol can trigger migraines and panic disorders. Alcohol is a respiratory depressant, as well as the klonopin. So mixing the two can be dangerous. Of course asking your doctor or pharmacy would be your best advice.
