My son takes adderal, abilify, zoloft, suboxone, and ambien. He is an opiate addict, alternating betwen recovery and relapse. Is this drug combo likely to help?
Adderall is very addictive. It's a Schedule II drug for being a stimulant. There are three different kinds of addicts. 1st type likes getting "high". They use stimulants like Amphetamines (Adderall), Methamphetamine, Etc.. 2nd type of addict like to get "low" They uses weed, opiates, opioids, benzodiazepines like xanax, klonopin, Valium, Heroin, whatever gets you sleepy or zoned out. 3rd type of addict abuses both the "high" and the "low" drugs. I was addicted to ketamine which would be a in the 2nd catagory. I also take Adderall with no problem at all. Just keep an eye on him. There are other type of ADHD medications that aren't controlled substances such as Strattera which might help. I tried it personally with no good results. It's worth a try though. Ask him about it as well. If he takes it as prescribed he's probably not abusing it. If he runs out of the Adderall before it can be refilled that's when you should start worring. Good Luck! I hope this helps.
adderal is one of the most abused drugs among the younger kids mostly in school. I know too many young people who's drug problems started with that and ended up on all kinds of others and doing things they swore they never do.so please be careful and maybe you should control them for your son.subzero58... pete
