I was put under for a colonoscopy Wed. Now, I seem to have an inner ear infection-dizzy, nauseaous, weak, head ache, heavy ears, tinnitus. I'm wondering if some form of tylenol-acetaphinmine could have been put in my IV? In all fairness, fasting sets off nausea and vomiting, so I seldom do anything that requires a fast. My normal med is to help counter-act these problems-but it's not working. Now it's the stupid weekend-so can my family help me with any ideas?
Can acetaphinmine-tylenol be given in an IV for pain?

Hi Meyati, I have had many of these things but i don't think they put tylenol in the I.V. as you are asleep not that long. I know the crap they give you before the colonoscopy makes me so sick i am down for days after. Best bet call the hospital and find out. How are you doing today?
Thank you for sharing with me. Maybe my electrolytes were messed up from all of the water. My ears are starting to feel better. I never was put asleep before-just toughed it out. I came out of them feeling better than this-but I was having major stomach problems-now my stomach is stable-which causes these symptoms to worry me. I was pretty sick with IBS and I've had a ton of bariums, then this is my 6th colonoscopy. Before I'd feel tired and weak from the fasting, but my stomach is so messed up that it doesn't know when it's invaded. I've never had the problems they list on the handout to worry about this or that, contact the clinic about this or that. But I don't get headaches-i have had one since about 8 hours after the colonoscopy on Wed. A headache isn't listed as a problem. I was offered a cup of coffee or grape juice when I came to-I stared at them like they were Nazis-they asked what's wrong-I told them, "You don't know sh** about a bad stomach, I want to get out of here." They did find a bottle of room temp water. I got dressed and was put in a room to discuss the exam with my doctor. He says that I don't have polyps or diveticula or whatever they're called, and I didn't need another one for 6-10 years.. I told him, "Good, that means that my med is working, I want to keep taking my med. Everyone is very nice, but this is my last one. I'm not doing it again." My family doctor suggested that I don't ever have any more colonoscopies because I get so sick from fasting. Once I went into convulsions before. Whenever I fast-nausea is a major problem. I'm just not snapping out of it like I should. Yesterday I thought a short walk with the hounds in the fresh air would snap me out of it. I thought that I was going to throw up. I got real sick from being pushed in the guerney, and I pulled the plastic thing out of my nose-the smell of plastic chemicals make me puke. I've always been told that my olafactory sense is super sensitive. I'd go in an exam room and complain how it smelled of cheap wine, etc. and they had a drunk in the day before. When I was a kid, I'd ask people about flowers or cooking, because i could smell it. I probably was a hound dog in my past life. Did you ever see James garner-he was in the Rockford Files on TV? In korea, he smelled garlic in the middle of the night and woke up his buddies the North Koreans ate a lot of garlic, and he smelled an attack. Saved their lives. It's probabley electrolytes and the stupid plastic.
I really appreciate your thoughts and experience about this. Thank you
