Can a women take bactrim after having a c section if it becomes infected?

Pam, I would not take anythiing and call the doctor on call. If it is infected you might have to go back in to the office and have it checked out. Depends on how bad the infection is to have the wound cleaned out.

They usually have you leave the hospital with two or three different tubes of antibiotics to use. They did for both of my cesarean births. Get to your doctor PRONTO if you think your incision line is infected, that can get SERIOUS FAST!! Best wishes!
