I was given a blood test last month along with my regular U.A. The U.A. tests are given everytime I go in. I had a blood test done in Oct.2009. I was told this would be a blood test for amount of vitiam D. On the way home from visit I started thinking about this. Doesn't seem right to me. I think he is testing for amount of meds. in my system. Is it alright for a dr. to lie to you regarding why a blood test is being given?
Your doctor is responsible for your care every time you walk in his/her office. Checking your blood is a common test and you shouldn't worry about it. If you are worried about it then you need to question yourself why. If you are taking your meds as prescribed then what is to worry about. If you aren't taking them as prescribed then your doctor needs to be aware and also have documented proof should he need to make any decisions on your health care... Good luck... Dave
hey i agree with dave, but you can get a copy of your blood work from your doctor and you can also ask him to explain the blood work to you. at my doctors office i always get a copy of my blood work so i can take it to my other doctors so we don't repeat anything to soon because insurance is so picky they sometimes don't want to pay.missy
