Please help me in understanding for what Problem, Calcium citrate is used?

Calcium citrate is mostly for bone health. People who are at a higher risk for osteoporosis (such as women, thin frame etc) or who don't get adequate calcium in their diet may elect to take supplementation. I recommend dietary calcium above supplement but there are those who have a hard time getting it. (myself included being lactose intolerant). Calcium citrate is usually preferred over calcium carbonate in those who have a history of kidney stones or other various kidney problems.
The recommended daily dose varies depending on what you go by. Adults: 1000mg. Women >50 years old 1200mg. Men >70 1200mg. I believe for pregnant ladies it is 1300mg. Teens it's 1300mg and I forget kids.
When people take calcium supplements they should only take between 500-600mg (generally 1 tablet) at a time because your body can only absorb so much.
