I am on Medicare and have a part D plan, but my prescription is still costly to me. Is there any help for buying this drug?
Some manufacturers will still help with the cost of medication even though you have Medicare part D. You will have to contact them and ask. Go to Rxassist.com, choose patient portal and enter the name of the med (Cymbalta) and it will give you the manufacturer and guidelines for this company.
hi depressed,,, Have you even turned in your Medicare D card and asked if it covers they Cymbalta same trade name... Or call the phone on your medicare D card and ask them if your Medicare D card covers it... IF it does not first talk to the doctors office if the drug is helping you,And lots of the drugs in this class the office can call the insurance and get it covered for you in Many case's Any problems with that at all then you have your option below to see if the company well help you Best if you can get your insurance to cover it first all companys are different and have different rules but you do any of the above right from your phone call the pharmacy give them the info if its the regular pharmacy you got to... they are there to help..then any problems follow the directions from the other answer..no way should you be paying for it... Medicare has a program called "LIS" meaning Low Income Subsidy, also known as "Extra Help." Depending on your income, you more than likely qualify for the subsidy. Give them a call and ask some questions. The more you know, the more you help yourself. They never seem to provide the information up front... but it's there.
You very much can get help towards Duloxetene/CYMBALTA, I used to take that myself.
If you have a plan that charges you a premium fee, look into the plans closer and see if you can pick a plan with a formulary that has all your medication for no extra premium cost. Someone is willing to help find that information for you as well. 1-800-MEDICARE Good luck saving!
