I have taken anti anxiety drugs (Xanax) but it only seems to "sometimes" work. I really am not sure if its even "anxiety" at all. I have had my bloods checked and I do still have a very high iron level which I have had for years (since 2008) The doctors have never seemed concerned about it but I sure am. I feel very tired with this condition as well. I dont feel like getting up in the morning and thats just not me at all. I am a very active person and have never experienced this except for the last couple years off and on. It really gets me down because I just dont feel like myself and it overall makes me depressed. I do take Cymbalta (orginally for Fibromyalgia) but maybe it helps with the depression as well. Not too sure about that. My body actually feels very fatigued. Any suggestions???
My suggestion is find a doctor willing to actually treat YOU. Not one in it for the money. I suggest a Tribal Health program. They are honest, respectful anf thorough. Sounds like you have some unaddressed issues that need resolving. Medication may not even be the answer. Have you considered keeping yourself very busy doing only things that you love...
Sounds like you may have a condition called hemachromatosis. You can google it and read about the symptoms and treatments. It will cause the symptoms you describe and is very treatable. The anxiety is probably secondary to the other condition and should be treatable through addressing the blood disorder and the cymbalta and xanax.
Since this is in the ribcage area, where your heart is, I have another thought on this also. I was getting this too, & found out I have A-Fib which is exactly as you describe. A flutter of the heart. I also have a mitral valve leak which is attributing to this condition. Maybe a good heart checkup would help too. Does your pulse race at times or stay on the higher side as well? Just to be sure, I would suggest you have this checked out. I take a dose of atenolol25mg, which is a beta blocker, & don't have this problem anymore. Better to be on the side of caution than not..
