The pharmacy stated that I have a Third Party Reject so they are trying to contact my Doctor.
If you are covered under any assistance program for the Butran patches, Medicare will not cover the cost of it. Perhaps you were under an assistance program at one point or another and it is still showing in the system (the third party) and that is why it is being rejected.
I do hope this gets sorted out soon for you. Best of luck!
I only became aware of the Butrans Patches in the past month. I am on Medicare with a secondary policy and a Medicare Humana Prescription card and none of these will pay 1 red cent on the patches. My pain is so severe in my back, I have been unable to find a satisfactory pain relief med for almost 5 years now. I'll pay for the patches out of my own pocket if they are worth it. Do any of you think these patches are all they're supposed to be? Would appreciate some of your thoughts. Many thanks!
