..I am on butrans 20 mcg as of 3/20/2015 Just like a lot of you, I to did not think this butran patch would work. Well it has been 24 hours since I applied the patch. I feel the patch is working 33% effective and I know the patch takes 72 days to reach full effect. ILL have another post on 3/22/2015 to update you.
I recently starting using Butrans 10mcg/hr. I have had this first patch on for about 31 hours, and I feel absolutely no change in my pain. I also take Hydrocodone 7.5s, but haven't had any in my system for 2 days. My insurance would not cover the patch, so I had to pay $370 for 4 darn patches. I'm very upset about this. I hardly have any income, and regret spending the only money I had on these. I have fibromyalgia, degenerative disc disease, arthritis in my hips, knees, and back, depression, severe anxiety, severe adema, reocurring MRSA outbreaks, etc... Nothing seems to help. I'm currently taking hydrocodone 7.5 (8/day), tizanidine (3/day) nabumetone (2/day), lasix (1/day) venlafaxine (1/day), gabapentin (1200mg/day). And now the Butrans patch (10mcg/hr). Still no relief...
My back and knees constantly hurt, I can barely care for my 4 little ones and do my daily duties without wanting to sit down every 5 mins because I'm in so much pain. I am ALWAYS exhausted, even if I'm doing nothing at all. I also have trouble sleeping. I get about 4 hours of sleep a night on average. I just need some answers, or help from someone who might know what I could do. :'(
