... and I'm not even scared anymore I am just paranoid and I feel trapped. I also sometimes get feeling that you would get when watching a scary movie or commercial like I'm being watched or hunted. How do I get an increase on my medicine? I know my anxiety is bad but I don't know how to get through to the doctor to increase my dosage and maybe even get a benzodiazepine. How does medicine increases work and how do I get though to the doctor to get the correct medication? Am I going to get looked at wrong if I ask for a benzodiazepine thinking I want to get high?
The dream seems to be depicting your feelings when you are having an anxiety attack. You are being choked... your life is being taken from you. This is a direct result of the fear you feel. I would ask my doctor if he would recommend a psychiatrist for me. The psychiatrist would be able to prescribed the correct medication and dosage. You may need help with nightmares and paranoia. If he cannot hear you... you may ask your insurance company for a doctor of psychiatry in your area. I would follow thru with this immediately.
Mods; What you could do is call the doctor Monday and say you had a real bad weekend etc. and ask if you can take more of the Buspar. Then when you see the doctor next time ask the doctor if a benzodiazepine would work better for you these just don't seem to work. You seem to be overthinking this don't worry if you don't ask and really feel like you need something else than talking to the doctor he or she is doing you no good if you can't talk to them. OH also make sure you never take any more than what the doctor is saying on the bottle that is how the watch and make sure you take your medications as they tell you. You have told the doctor I hope about these dreams etc even if they are not shaking you up as much it would be nice not to have them. Have a good day.
