I just wanted to know if the busperoneis the ssame thing as a benzo .
No not at all. Busperone is an anti-anxiety med that works really well for most people, once it builds up the a therapeutic level in your blood stream. Usually around 6-8 weeks for full effects, but sooner for a lot of people, like me. It worked for me within the first week. A benzo in very addictive for one thing, and it is instant. You take a benzo like Clonazopam or Xanax with the onset of anxiety and it starts to take effect within 20-30 minutes. These would be used as needed only, and Busperone is taken at the same dose and the same time daily. Hope this helps, feel free to ask me any questions about these meds. I have been on both over the years.
