I've been diagnosed with anxiety disorder and my doctor has me on buspar15mg and klonapin but the buspar doesn't seem to work for me will it be safe to stop taking the buspar and ask my doctor about xanax instead? Please help
It's not a good idea to ask for a specific medication. Let your doctor know how you're feeling and let him decide what to do. How long have you been taking the buspar? The klonopin isn't working for you either?
No. Buspar is not taken like xanax it is taken daily to prevent anxiety. It can be increased if you need it after you're on it a few weeks. Since this med doesn't work right away something like xanax needs to be ordered in addition for those weeks.
