My husband has combat PTSD but isn't being treated for it, other medications he has tried haven't worked for him, can Buspar help treat it?
Buspar is an anti-anxiety drug. If that's what your husband needs, then this is the drug for him. I don't know why his Dr. picked this medicine for him, but there must be a reason. Is your husband experiencing a lot of anxiety? If so, maybe this is what he needs.
It is a good start, help him deal with what is going on in the head from the PTSD and settle him down when it's to bad to handle and continued therapy with the doctor or someone don't be surprised if they have to add other medications also.
