Month I have the irritating pain what are the doctors procedures for this if I have a uti?
A condition called Interstitial Cystitous is very painful. I've been tested but didn't have it a Friend of mine does. Sounds like you might want to mention it to doctor, and tell him to plz test you for it sometimes doctors just don't want to disregard your self- diagnosis. Insist on a test. It sounds like you might have that
I don't know your age, but onset of menopause in late 40s caused that for me. Doctor gave me a hormone cream that really helped. Also there is medication for vagival dryness that helped with same thing your having. Or it could be a little fungus in the urethra . Doctor had my daughter sit in a vinegar bath. Add 2 cups to a warm bath. After about 3 baths, she was totally better. A basic UTI involves a specific antibiotic for UTI. That's a simple fix. Try the bath, can't hurt to try. If you have any vaginal issue too, consider that cream. I use Estrace cream.
Well, it certainly sounds like a UTI (left untreated is really bad) so you would normally be prescribed an antibiotic like Bactrim first (please use the entire script or you risk just breeding drug resistant bacteria). If this is happening monthly or, at least regularly you may need to take antibiotics as a prophylactic to prevent infections re-occurring when you would expect an infection.
PS. Your lady doctor will get a small urine sample first and use a test strip to confirm the presence of something (which escapes me at the moment) and then in all probability the above (1st paragraph) will happen.
