... almost unbearable. I've tried everything, clonapine, alpha lopaic acid, capsicum, vit b complex and nothing seems to help it. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Has anyone tried accupunture? I'm desperate for any help
Hi there rhuttnyc. The one thing I can definately recommend you to try is amitriptyline. My tablet is 10 mg and I have been taking three or four a day. I have had my BMS for over four years and it can be hell. I have recommended this a number of times to different questions
in this group but have not really heard from anyone actually saying "yes this does work". It
helped me, apart from my dry mouth - you can only try - you cannot loose anything and may find some relief. Regards and good luck.
I have had this 2 years as well now. All I can do is share with you what I do to control this. I was diagnosed by a doc in Loma Linda (referred by my dentist) and was told my BMS was due to stress. I don't know what level of BMS I had at that time, but: I lost 25 lbs in 2 months 'cuz I could not eat. My tongue was unrecognizable to me and I was so scared. It looked like all my tastebuds exploded in the pictues. And i was frustrated no one around me understood. One friend even said to me... maybe I should do your diet to loose weight, knowing I was i'll. Yeah, we're not friends anymore.

Burning Mouth Syndrome - BMS came out of nowhere and was thought to be advanced gum disease. Anyone?
