There are several categories of antidepressants. Wellbutrin belongs to the dopamine/ norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (DNRI's) while Cymbalta belongs to the SSNRI's or selective serotonin/ norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors. It maybe that the fact that both affect norepinephrine was too much for you system. Extremely hard to tell. What was happening such that you couldn't handle the addition of the Wellbutrin?

shaking, sweating, nervousness. i'm now taking fluoxetine which should only work with the serotonin, so wellbutrin may not have the same effect.

Definitely too much norepi based on your symptoms. Wellbutrin inhibits reuptake of dopamine & norepi, and has some norepi releasing action. Cymbalta has the highest affinity for norepi of all the snri's. The change to Prozac should fix the problem, if not you can try effexor or pristique which have lower affinity for NE, and don't take at same time as the wellbutrin.
