If I'm already taking Buprion XL (425mg), can I just take the Naltrexone and achieve the same results?
I suggest that instead of self medication (which is quite dangerous) I suggest you talk to your Psychiatrist first, I mean we are talking about a medication that (Naltrexone) is used as part of a treatment program for drug or alcohol dependence, not an aspirin.
Best of luck, masso.-
mlantz; No talk to both doctors the brand name which is all there is that I know is all that is on the market and it has 8mg of the Naltrexone and 90mg Bupropion in each tablet And you are already on a very high dose of the Bupropion Most insurance even if it would work out won't pay for Naltrexone by itself because of the other use it is used for by itself to block other narcotics like Opium and stronger PLEASE masso Has give you a very good answer and the two of these should not be taken together while you are on the high dose of Bupropion XL this is only approved as a diet pill and you need to talk to the doctor that prescribed it. And also, the one that is giving you the Bupropion that is getting at a dangerous level. You may have to wait on this.Concave has only been approved in the dose's I put and you take 2 daily which would be adding another 180mg of bupropion to the 425mg your already taking PLEASE FOLLOW MY FRIEND masso; advice before you do anything with this prescription Chuck1957
mlantz; this is what the info to the doctors says so they should have known something more.be very careful. This combination is only approved for diet use and way too much Bupropion here is the info.((((Bupropion and naltrexone is a combination medicine used to help manage weight in obese or overweight adults with weight-related medical problems. This medicine is used together with diet and exercise.
Bupropion and naltrexone are for use only to help you manage your weight. This medicine will not treat any weight-related medical condition, such as high blood pressure, diabetes, or high cholesterol.
Although bupropion is an antidepressant and is sometimes used to help people quit smoking, Contrave is not approved to treat depression or other psychiatric conditions, or to help you quit smoking. Chuck1957
