No. Buprenorphine is a man made or 'synthetic' opiate manufactured by the chemical modification of a full natural opiate called Thebaine derived from a variety of 'opium' poppy.
Thebaine, itself, has no useful properties except as a precursor ingredient for a variety of drugs including some common high strength pain killers and also some medications used in opiate/opiod drug rehabilitation and treatment programs.
