I just filled my birth control, and there are no brown pills. Does it skip a month or something? Am I going to get my period this coming month?
The pharmacy may have given you a 21 day pack instead of a 28 day pack but they should have explained to you to skip a week between packs. The brown pills are inert meaning there is no active ingredient or hormone in them. They are just to remind you to get into the habit of taking a pill every day and to help you count out the week until you start your next pack. Take them back to the pharmacy to be absolutely sure they are the same pills (or if they look absolutely the same with the same marking and you are confident they are the same then never mind) but you just will need to skip a week after the 21 days of active pills before you start the next pack.
