So, I've been on the Nexplanon for about a year and 3 months, now. I have been period free up until about 3 weeks ago when I had heavy brown discharge. The next day, it stopped. A week ago I had the same thing happen to me. Light brown discharge. Next day, again it stopped. Now today, I check and once again I have light brown discharge. I haven't had my period since about a month before I got the Nexplanon. This is the first time in a year I've gotten this random brown spotting. Also, I've noticed it happens after my boyfriend and I have sex like about a day or two later. Does anyone know what's going on? Is this even normal? I get so super worried.
Hello I am experiencing the same thing - I hate it. Like you worried1027 I am worried too. I got mine implanted on 1/28/15 and today barely I am spotting brown. It happened to me twice before but thought nothing of it - figured it was the lighting in the restroom or the dye from the new underware I bought but nope I am spotting. There is no mistaking it when you are at work and you're like "WHAT IS THIS?!" Like you said it happens a day or two after sex. So I just finished looking online and I read that this is normal especially when we go into our second yr (which happens to be the strongest). However, I wanted to ask you if this is normal or what have you experienced after so I know. Accoring to what they say its our bodies that are adjusting to the hormones. I am still going to set up an appointment with my doctor on Monday but I was just wishing maybe you found something out or have any information that would ease my nerves a bit since this happened to you back in June and we are in September and now it's happening to me. Hope I hear from you (or anyone reading this).Take care.
