I went to the dentist for tooth pain. I have little to no tooth left assuming I have exposed nerve. I'm on day 2 of the pill still with extreme pain. Will the pain go away soon I have to wait a few weeks to get it pulled and I'm 24 weeks pregnant
This scenario is a nightmare!
It's unreasonable to ask you to wait 2 weeks with an exposed nerve.
The antibiotic isn't going to affect nerve pain!
You need a root canal asap if it is truly an exposed nerve.
You can't deal with this stress while pregnant!
You can have codeine for pain. It's what I had in the hospital when I was pregnant.
The dentist should be ashamed. An exposed nerve is a dental emergency.
mcco1191, I really agree with Windchime it really depends on how bad the infection is on how long the pain last normally I have not had it last to the severe point past the 3rd day. But because you're pregnant the doctor has to be very careful what they give you. But they can't ever pull a bad tooth with the Infection in it because many times it spreads and many other reasons. If I were you I would be taking the Tylenol anyway just to help some. Hope it lets up by today. and Congratulations on the baby.
