i broke my ankle in two places, had surgery (3days ago),and now am experiencing alot of pressure and tightening,is this normal?I imagine my circulation being cut off in this splint.

Hi, Anonymous,
To be effective you must ELEVATE the ankle ABOVE your heart and ICE it for 15 minutes on 30 minutes off until you feel some relief.
The pressure and tightening is NORMAL because of SWELLING.
IF YOUR LEG BEGINS TO TURN BLUE OTHER THAN BRUISING, THE CIRCULATION COULD BE COMPROMISED, BUT THIS IS RARE.
Try to be patient, a good friend of mine had foot surgery and went through the exact same thing you are going through BUT she didn't keep her leg elevated and iced.
