Fibromyalgia and multiple back surgeries have made chronic pain the dominant feature of my life and depression is always present in my family. I have been prescribed brintellix in the hope that the additional neurotransmitters it effects may result in reduced chronic pain.
I appreciate any comments. Thank you.
It certainly should. Its worth a try that's for sure. Anything that could give us less pain is worth it. Have you tried lyrica or gabapentin too.
I am on brintellix at 20 mg's as far as the pain I am not sure, but seen you comment on nausea/ vomiting we all r different... I started at 5 mg for a week then following week 10/ now at 20 mg's... I was nauseated in the beginning but it has subsided/ hope it does for you, never threw up though... also as km stated it's worth a shot to see if it helps with the pain... have a great memorial day weekend..
I am on my 5th day of Brintellix and have been off of Neurontin for two full days! I can't begin to say how excited I am as I hate the way Neurontin makes me feel. I will also say that I had tried Savella for a while and although it worked, I experienced horrible side effects.
I am currently on 10mg of brintellix. I did have a headache the first day, all day, and two more thereafter but they were mild. My need for sleep has drastically changed. I'm getting back to my old self who used to function fine on 5-6 hours. While it is taking some adjusting, it is yet another exciting facet.
