Hi, shellgeo! Sadly, the IS no medication that's better or best than another because it depends solely on how the individual reacts to the medication itself, whichever medication that may be. Oftentimes, a combination, or *cocktail* of medications is required. Be sure you're being prescribed the proper drugs for your condition and you give each medication at it's MAINTENANCE dose a fair trial of several months.. It's unusual to see MDD and Bipolar disorder and the use of antidepressants can instigate hypo/hypermanic episodes.
Have you ever tried Latuda for your depression?
Good luck! I hope you fing your answer soon. Wildcat
Sorry to hear that... I have been on depression treatment for several years and have been taking Brintellix for 3 months. So far, it has been the best one for me. I have been on Pristiq, Valdoxan, Trazodone, sertraline, Citalopram... I was about to give up trying when I started the treatment with Brintellix. Do not give up, your doctor will find the right treatment for you. I heard this is very effective for depression treatment, but it also depends on how each individual responds to the medication...
