I recently changed my breast pad and found yellow fluid that smelled like yeast. I have no idea what it is. I just recently gave birth 1-24-12.
It could be some remnant colostrum. Colustrum is usually a dark yellow to almost orange in color. I'm not sure about the "yeast smell". If it continues to be a problem, consult a lactation consultant or your Dr. I find that lactation consultants are usually more knowledgeable than Drs when it comes to breastfeeding. The maternity ward where you delivered should be able to refer you to a consultant in your area.
