Breastfeeding - Is it safe to take Ambien when breast feeding an 18mo. Old?

Hi AndiLeigh and welcome to DC. Here is some food for thought... it does pass through breast milk. Do you want any of that drug in your baby even if there are no reported adverse side effects??? Somehow the thought of this drug passing through breast milk but no reported side effects don't belong in the same sentence. Probably because there hasn't been a "study" that followed an infant through various stages of growing to know that. That sure would bother me...
