would it be ok to nurse him tonight or should I wait until its out of my system?
Hi i have done a bit of research in to this and the recommendation is not to take melatonin whilst breastfeeding, but as a one off it shouldn't be a problem. The thought is that as melatonin is naturally occurring in the body, if it is expressed through breastfeeding feeding, your baby could be receiving too much of it. Popular recommendations are to try nytol or sominex, although i would check with your doctor or pharmacist first.
