Hi, frw! This is a personal decision that you and your doctor should discuss. Your baby would receive a very small amount of the venlafaxine in your system, so ideally no. The risk to your baby would probably be minimal; babies have been studied and have had no apparent problems but researchers can't predict possible long-term effects.
It's a risk ~vs~ benefit situation. If you need to be on the drug you have to take it ~ you're going to have to give your full attention to caring for the child. Talk to your doctor and get his opinion. Worse case ~ you have the option of bottle-feeding.
Best wishes, WCV
