I’ve been on 1mg of Teva clonazepam for many years. I recently tried Mylan when Teva was discontinued and had a horrible reaction. My psychiatrist told me to try name brand by Roche. How different from Teva is the name brand? Teva has never made me feel sedated I’m worried the name brand will have that effect.
I take Roche which is the original Pharma manufacturer of clonazepam, everyone reacts differently, I have a high tolerance to everything, it does not sedate me at all, but it does help me. Now many people argue that brand and generic are the same, my opinion differs from that from years of experience. I respect people who think differently, but as I said in my case, and I have tried generics and they did not have the same effect as brand with me, that is why I said "everyone reacts differently"
It had different compounds than, Teva. As I went through the same situation and just switched back to Teva wafers because, they still help better than all the generic meds I have tried. I was on diazepam because of the generic issues and withdrawal. I personally, rather take Teva but, it’s not and option besides the wafers for now they work quickly but, feels as if it only helps a couple hours...
I may need to try brand again myself. One thing that you will have with brand is consistency that in itself will help. My tolerance is very high. But, I wasn’t sedated on Klonopin. If, you feel sedated ask your doc to lower your dose...
Teva is no longer in manufacture. Teva sold rights to actavis
