When I look through the drug name where is the information about the brand name vs the generic name for proper spelling etc. I am a student and studying medical transcription and I need to know the names of drugs and be able to differentiate whether they are the generic name for the drug or the brand name for spelling purposes, proper capitalization purposes. Where do I find that information when I look up drugs here?
Go to the top of the page put the drug in search. It doesn't matter if you know if its generic or brand because all you need is the spelling. If you spell it wrong in search it will say did you mean and the med on the page that comes up.
Experience tells you if its brand or generic by the name. When you have the brand name and search for it, it will also have the generic name in the info, in parenthesis. If you search for the generic, there isn't anything else.
