I've had this yeast infection for a little but over a month I took two diflucan pills and my gyn also prescribed me terconazole for three days and all it did was cure me for a day .
Acidophilus is a bacteria that exists naturally in the body, primarily in the intestines and the vagina. Acidophilus helps maintain an acidic environment in the body, which can prevent the growth of harmful bacteria.
Health practitioners often recommend acidophilus as a probiotic supplement to treat or prevent vaginal yeast infections. It may work by helping the body maintain normal consistency of bacteria in the vagina, although research is still needed to confirm this.
It should not matter which brand you use as long as the acidophilus has been purchased from a reputable source and follow the directions on the bottle. Both oral and vaginal acidophilus products are available.
It is difficult to put a timeframe on the success of treatment as everyone is different and will depend on the severity of your infection and how your body responds.
