have pvd and 14 bypass operationsin both legs, have appt with nuerology,to check for nerve problems, but have not had any luck with the causes of the cramping, mostly happens when laying down sleeping, it can cause me to cry, it hurts so bad, i dont use drugs (pain meds) addict in recovery 12 years clean and sober, ptsd from the nam and the rest of lifes unexspected pleasures has caused me to have an attitude, i dont touch drugs other than tylenol, it would go against my program. wounded twice had enough pain to last a life time, try and control pain with my brain (whats left of it), dont know that drugs is answer for cramps anyway thanks, what dose would one use if vinegar was to be taken orally anyway if it even can be used.
First, thank you for your service to our country, I mean that!
My dad, age 62, suffers from severe leg cramps, wakes up screaming. He had a palm tree fall on him 25 years ago and has had multiple injuries and surgeries. The most natural remedy that he swears by is drinking tonic water every night, it has quinine, a natural substance that helps. The other is taking a nightly calcium-magnesium supplement. Buy a good one if you have a health food or vitamin store nearby. A "food based" calcium supplement will be absorbed the best. It helps the muscles. I hope you can find some relief, you deserve it!
