My doctor gave me a sample of Dulera 200 mcg/5mcg to try. Before I try it I would like to find out what it would cost with my drug program. My pharmacist can't tell me without a prescription. She did tell me the cash payment was $298.00 for one month which is way out of the ball park for me. Why would I want to try it and then my drug company won't fill it?
I have Blue Advantage Blue Cross Blue Shield What would Dulera cost with my drug coverage?

Look on your insurance card, there will be a customer service or member services number. Call that number and tell them you need to find out what this medication will cost you when you get it filled. Your insurance company should be able to tell you. I dont know why people never think of doing this. Anytime you want to know what any procedure or medication is going to cost, you can call them and they should be able to have some idea.

The price that your pharmacist gave you is probably the cash price with no insurance payment. Your pharmacist, when she gets a prescription to fill your medication, calls your insurance company and your insurance company tells them what they will pay and how much your copayment is. That is how your pharmacy knows what to charge. You can call and inquire yourself what a prescription will cost.
